The hybrid stepping motor is composed of stator and rotor just like reluctance stepping motor. The common stator has 8 poles or 4 poles. A certain number of small teeth are evenly distributed on the pole surface. The coil on the pole can be electrified in two directions to form a phase and a phase, B phase and B phase. Its rotor is also composed of two pieces of teeth evenly distributed on the circumference. The two teeth are staggered by half a pitch. There is an annular permanent magnet with axial magnetization between the two teeth. It is obvious that all the teeth on the same rotor segment have the same polarity, while the polarity of two rotor blades with different segments is opposite.

The torque produced by hybrid motor is larger than that of reluctance motor; in addition, the step angle of hybrid motor is often smaller. Therefore, hybrid stepping motor is often used in applications where small step angle and large torque are required due to limited working space.
